The Summarizer is an AI tool integrated into Brave Search. Its purpose is to deliver concise and precise answers at the top of search results pages, according to the user's query, solely based on web search results. The answers are extracted and combined from multiple sources of information on the web, ensuring a comprehensive, accurate response expressed in clear language. Furthermore, the original sources of the data are always cited via links, which helps uphold the rightful attribution of information and allows users to evaluate the trustworthiness of these sources. The Summarizer also has the ability to generate a summarized version of query-dependent snippets (result descriptions) which can highlight the answer when possible. Available on desktop and mobile for all users of Brave Search, it can be turned off by users through settings if preferred. Updates reliable to the day's happenings are ensured by using web results.
